About the role:
You will work for the maritime department which falls under the QHSSE department which monitors the policy as regards Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment. On civil as well as dredging, environmental and offshore projects all over the world, they support the people in charge with the implementation, the control and the improvement of the QHSSE Management System. Because our people are our greatest capital!
What you’ll do:
As a Maritime Offshore Advisor you will play an important part in the follow up of the offshore vessels’ quality, safety and environmental policies.
  • Actively contributing to the development, the extension, the updating and monitoring of the method systems.
  • Coaching and motivating the masters and chief engineers on board. Additionally providing advice to other divisions within the company.
  • Carrying out internal audits and inspections, performing risk analyses and accident investigations.
  • Proactively advising in order to meet the expected client demands.
  • Assisting in preparing the vessels for client inspections, following these meticulously and reporting in accordance with established procedures. You are fully prepared to undertake short business travels for this purpose.

What do you need to have?
  • You have (recently) completed maritime education
  • A few years of work experience aboard off Offshore construction vessels is a strong plus.
  • A DP Unlimited certificate, supported by considerable DP Class 2 and 3 sea time is a plus.
  • CMID, OVID, MWS, IMCA, vetting are familiar to you.
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch.
  • You will work from our offices in Aalst but are willing to travel frequently to visit our vessels, domestic and abroad.
