Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role as a Night Receptionist at Hotel De Witte Lelie located in Antwerp. As a Night Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests. Your main duties will include performing check-ins and check-outs, answering guest inquiries, handling reservations, and ensuring the security and safety of the hotel during the night. As part of the team, your role also implies to take care of the hotel and make sure everything is ready for your coworkers to operate properly during day shifts.
This is not your typical front office position. As a Night Receptionist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of all areas of the hotel during the night shift. You will not be expected to stay behind a desk all night but will instead engage in a variety of tasks that help prepare the hotel for the following day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with guest requests and inquiries, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Handling emails and correspondence, providing timely responses.
- Performing light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning the kitchen and public areas.
- Assisting with laundry duties, including washing, folding, and organizing linens.
- Helping with the preparation of food and beverage services, as needed.
- Supporting the front office team with any administrative tasks or guest check-ins/check-outs when required.
- Ensuring that the hotel is set up and ready for the next day’s operations in all areas, from guest services to food and beverage.
The role requires flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to assist with various tasks across the hotel. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working independently, and contributing to all aspects of hotel operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem-solve and handle difficult situations with professionalism and empathy
- Must be able to ensure security and safety of the building and of the guests
- Organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Availability to work night shifts and weekends
- Experience with handling cash transactions and maintaining cash registers

Pay: €14,80 per hour
