We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing & Process Engineer to lead the launch of new pharmaceutical products, oversee and optimize secondary packaging processes. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering background, has extensive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, process optimization, and project management ensuring new products are introduced efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Project Management: Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Design and Development: Develop and test packaging materials to ensure they meet all necessary requirements and regulations.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to existing packaging processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Technology Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of new processes from R&D to manufacturing, ensuring smooth scale-up and integration.
  • Compliance: Ensure packaging processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements, industry, environmental and safety standards.
  • Validation and Testing: Conduct process validation and testing to ensure new products meet quality and safety standards.
  • Equipment Management: Monitor the performance of packaging equipment and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments on packaging processes and implement necessary safety measures.
  • Documentation: Document all packaging process procedures and modifications for reference and regulatory purposes. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes, changes, and validations for regulatory and internal purposes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross functional teams, to understand product requirements and consumer needs, to ensure successful product launches.
  • Supplier Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of packaging materials.
  • Product Launch Planning: Develop and execute detailed plans for the introduction of new pharmaceutical products, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and product quality. Resolve any issues that arise during the product launch process.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (e.g. in chemical, pharmaceutical or packaging sciences).
  • 5+ years of proven experience in pharmaceutical and packaging processes (preferably secondary packaging).
  • Strong knowledge of GMDP (Good Manufacturing and Distribution Practices) for packaging machinery and materials.
  • Experience with process validation and technology transfer.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
