Dicofoods (until recently Dicogel and Begro) is a frozen vegetable company with headquarters in Ardooie. Together with the company Westfro (also frozen vegetables) and Roger & Roger (producer of Croky potato chips, among others), they are part of a family owned company. Dicofoods and Westfro produce and commercialize frozen vegetables, vegetable mixtures, fruit, potatoes and herbs for customers in the retail, foodservice and industrial sectors. Today they jointly realize a turnover of approximately 160 million euros with 450 enthusiastic employees. During the season, the number of employees can increase significantly.

Your tasks:

After an internal training, you will be given the following range of tasks:

• Check the correct quality and percentages of the ingredients used
• Helping out with all the other functions if necessary (storage, pricking)
• Set up the machine correctly and keep it running as efficiently as possible
• Identify and report deviations in the production process
• Supervise the timely supply of things like semi-manufactured goods and packaging materials
• Carry out basic maintenance, when discovering minor malfunctions you solve them autonomously. If the deviations or malfunctions are significant you will report them to the technical department and the person in charge.
• Remove labels from used bins and scanning them out
• Monitor the "Silo mixer"
• Work according to safety and hygiene regulations

Your profile:

• You have at least an A2 diploma and you have relevant experience as a machine operator, other operator or adjuster, or you are equivalent by experience.
• You speak good Dutch/French and/or English
• You have a sense of responsibility
• You are technically inclined
• You work accurately and in a structured way
• You have an eye for quality, hygiene, efficiency, team spirit
• You have a positive and flexible mindset
• You can give instructions and you are computer-minded

• Experience in the food sector is an asset
