In order to enable all this valuable work, there is a Data Platform & Architecture team within the tribe as well consisting out of data architects and cloud data engineers with a mission to build and maintain state of the art data services towards the company. Your tasks as a Cloud Data Engineer

• Design, refine and implement products/services in AWS & Snowflake from secure storage to processing power, purpose-based access management and general accelerators that can bring efficiency and effectiveness towards the tribe.
• Work on projects related to Big Data, Data Warehousing, ML Ops, AI engineering etc.
• Abstract underlying infrastructure to enable your customer to focus on the data processing and allowing the platform team to rapidly follow new technologies without having to trigger a migration project.
• Take a leading role in technology innovations and support the landing of them, together with the data architects, in the various value teams.
Coaching & mentoring other cloud data engineers by sharing best practices, guarding the technical solution & contributing to strategic decisions.

Our ideal cloud Data Engineer

• A Master or bachelor’s in computer science or related education and minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• Advanced experience in a production-level data environments.
• Excellent knowledge on AWS, Terraform and Python.
• Excellent knowledge of EMR, EKS, Spark, Gitlab and Snowflake.
• Experience with modern schedulers: Dagster, Airflow, …
• Experience with scalable API development in a challenging production environment.
• Experience in a DevOps world is a plus
• The will to take end-to-end ownership is a must & the ability to get things done
• Good communication skills. You feel comfortable challenging others.
• Profound English skills. Dutch skills are a plus.
