Joining a multidisciplinary, multicultural and international team, your mission as a systems engineer will be to analyse, define and develop the architecture and functions of the client's signalling system.



In collaboration with other team members, you will analyse the needs (external or internal), define and allocate requirements, evaluate design trade-offs, analyse technical risks, define the system architecture, functions and interfaces.

As a systems engineer, you will :
  • Analyse, clarify and confirm the requirements and input needs.
  • Perform conceptual design by preparing system models, design studies, design justifications, design principles, real-time analysis, modelling and mock-ups... for technical risk reduction and optimisation.
  • Solve interfaces
  • Develop formal modelling and requirements writing in accordance with design standards and guidelines.
  • Formalise and maintain system specifications
  • Ensure traceability through formal documentation to input requirements.
  • Collaborate with RAM, Security, Subsystems, Cyber Security, Software, Product and V&V teams to develop design concepts to ensure completeness and acceptance of specifications.
  • Convene, conduct and participate in technical reviews (design reviews, document reviews), including consultation with end users and experts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (feedback, process...)
  • Ensure that the system follows a standardisation approach by reusing existing solutions or implementing reusable solutions, and by providing an efficient system deployment kit (tools, user documentation...)
  • Provide support to the external stakeholders of the programme (customers, users).


Profile:
  • An engineering degree (BAC +4 or 5) in electronics, computer science, robotics, automation, mechanics or other similar technical speciality
  • Basic programming skills, Matlab / Simulink
  • Experience in requirements and specifications / Notions of V/Waterfall cycle and Agile development model
  • A good English is mandatory.
Assets:
  • Experienced in modelling methods such as UML, SADT, SysML, Matlab.
  • Experienced in specification writing and requirements traceability.
  • Experience in safety systems (e.g. automotive, aeronautical, railway...).
  • Interest in system design or systems engineering
  • Knowledge of railway signalling systems
